Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has had this before or know what is causing it.
Everything seems to be fine but at some point, normally during the night, the battery will loose all its charge eg. go from 66% to 0%. The Kw are not being added to my export.
Any ideas?

GDL176329 Do you exercise your battery over its full range from 4% to 100% regularly? If not, it can lose track of the true SoC and has to rely on an estimate. This sudden loss could be a symptom that it has suddenly discovered it has less charge than it thought it had.
Ideally charge from grid during cheap tariff period, if you have one.
Hi, most of this year its been sunny, so the battery has remained above around 60% for most of the year.
This sudden discharge has happened 6 times since the beginning of June.
Going forward, I only have a 9kw battery so dont really want this happening over the winter.

What powers your house when the sun is not shining? You should ideally use the sun to power the house and charge the battery during the day and then use the battery when there is no sun. Possibly top up the battery on off peak electric.
If you dont do this and your battery never gets below 60% then you must have a really low base load or you are not on Eco (for whatever reason).
Check you are on Eco. Maybe turn Eco off and hit save and then turn back on and hit save to make sure it gets correctly set.

Hi, the system is exactly as you say, its only because we've had so many sunny days that the battery has remained, nearly always above 50%. But it only takes a couple of dull days for it to drop eventually to 4%.
I would have thought that because of the good weather, most of the UK systems would be behaving like this, therefor discharges would be common.
I have HA and predbat and regularly force an export at peak rates - especially when there is an Axle event (£1/kwhr of export), so my battery gets regular full/empty exercise. Perhaps that is why mine does not seem to suffer like yours, as it "knows" its SoC

Perhaps many people install and forget about the system, so don't notice. It's LFP chemistry that can show the problem, due to the very flat charge curve - NMC probably isnt so bad. I think at least first-gen power wall was NMC
