Pause the battery discharge

Sorry if this has been covered before.

I have an energy tariff that has been charge bands, Low (0000-0700) Medium (0700-1600 and 1900-0000), High (1600-1900).

I know how to set the battery to charge while I'm on the low rate between 0000-0700. I've managed the do that.

What I want to be able to do is pause the battery discharge for part of the day so that I can make best use during the peak rate 1600-1900. I cannot find a way to set that scenario in the App or online.

Can it be done?

If it can, can someone please tell me how?

Glosgas this feature is called "timed discharge" on the app, though gen-1 hybrids may not support it. The underlying mechanism is a set of registers implementing a timed pause.

(There's actually another way to implement, based on timed export windows and minimum soc, which would allow you to use the battery until it reaches a min reserved level, but that probably depends strongly on firmware revision )

Glosgas What model of inverter you do have? I think gen-1 hybrids, and also AC-coupled (?), lack the required battery pause register.

I think the app was modified to hide the option if your inverter didn't support it.

DD G1 inverters on production firmware do not have the ability to Pause Charge/Pause Discharge/Pause Both.

It requires beta firmware and judging from the OP's posting history his inverter is not suitable for that firmware - too old.
