I had my solar installed in April. The GivEnergy app shows I've used 770 units and exported 202. However, the figures on my Emlite metre has figures of 1240 for import and 485 for export.
I presume the Emlite metre is accurate, but I'd expect the app figures to be closer. Anyone else experience these differences?

sixfoot2 I've just looked at my data - and it may be out as I can't remember when I had the export setup with octopus.

But according to my Octopus account I have exported a total of 141kWh this year - and the portal says 119kWh.

I had my smart meter installed in May, my solar panels in June and officially started exporting with Octopus in Mid July. My Octopus records were able to show everything that I had exported since the solar system went in, although they were only paying me for what I exported from Mid July.

So, for me, I am happy that my data is correct.

The portal says 269/2846kWh Import/Export since commissioning in January compared to the smart meter which has 155/2955kWh. I haven't even looked at our MCS meter. The smart meter is the primary source as far as I'm concerned because that's the one that involves cash flows. The EM115s I see as primarily to control inverter output rather than metering. For this reason, I don't take much notice of the portal metering data other than order of magnitude, or comparing one day with another.
