Hi All,
I just had a new system installed, Solar Edge PV + Givenergy AC 3.0 + 2 x GE 8.2. The system was commissioned 2 weeks ago and all worked fine. We went on holidays 12 days ago and sadly 8 hours after we left, the AC3.0 and Batteries went down. PV system kept working fine. The batteries were 35% charged when the system went down, but gradually lost all power in 4 day with no power delivered to the house.. The GE App initially froze, but now reports everything on 0.
We returned from holidays yesterday and tried to solve the problem today. I noticed that the green light is flashing on the AC 3.0 inverter. According to GE 's FAQ's this means ''Waiting. The system is waiting to do something but is not at fault''. Batteries or on, but at 0% and don't charge/discharge. I checked the dongle and it seems to connect/reconnect fine with a continuous blue light. I have gone through the procedure as described on this forum reference a green flashing light. Complicated but I think I have done it correctly, since all switches were nicely labelled by the installer. However there is no change, the light keeps flashing. I have also tried several times to restart the inverter, this procedure works but again no change. I have had a look at the settings in the cloud. Seems all fine to me with the system on Eco. I have asked for technical help from GIVENERGY support and installer, but have had no replies (yet?) Has anyone got any suggestion on what I can try next to solve the problem and get my system up and running again?

I am still waiting for my install, but have been scouring this forum for a while.

For the most reliable setting of inverter control modes it is recommended to use a web browser to the cloud portal rather than the phone app.

Have you checked the allowed maximum charge and discharge rates?
A 'Pause' setting from the app can set both to 0 W, which effectively disables your battery.

On the web portal expand the My Inverter, then choose Settings, then Battery Options.

Use the 2 sliders to set the rates to maximum, then click on the Submit button.

gjscheffers63 Try the restore to defaults option on the Inverter tile.
Or in the App.

This will remove the timed charge discharge, set the battery charge discharge back to Max, and unpausing the battery, if paused

Simon_C Simon,
Thank you very much for your answer and the advice. Thanks for the advice on the preferred comms options with the inverter. I did check the positions of the slides. I think they were in the correct positions of 4% min and 96%max. Good luck with the installation. It's worth it!

Thank you very much for this advice. I did try this procedure. There was however no immediate change last night. I tried it t again today and, again, there was no immediate effect. However I combined it with the recommended procedure on this forum about 'green flashing light', basically shutting all power down to the inverter and I have got the whole system up and running again. So thank you so much, I'm convinced your advice has contributed to this excellent result! 😃
