This might have been asked already, but are there plans to update the home flow card with more information like it has on the old portal rather than just the moving lines?

Yes.

There are currently plans to improve the home flows card to include on hover information regarding whichever item you are hovering above, similar to the legacy portal, but currently nothing is in the works.
