Hi all,

I've had my PV system for almost 1 year now and it's been working great but I have one issue/query that I would like to raise. The initial reason for getting the PV system and solar battery was to help with power outages that we suffer in the village that I live in. Over the last 2 years we have had several power cuts, some lasting a few minutes others lasting many hours and I was hoping that the PV system and solar battery could help mitigate the loss of power to my home.

But this is not the case, as soon as the power cut happens the inverter goes offline even if it's a bright sunny day and regardless of whether the solar battery is fully charged. So is there a way to change the set up so that in the event of a power outage from the main grid, we inverter can be powered by the solar battery and the battery can continue to power the house through the power outage?
