hi all, with the lower solar already reducing I have been using the timed charge feature for the batteries, last night it wouldn't kick in, my settings are eco mode enabled then a timed charge set between 0200-0530, I had to do a manual charge via the app.

I have a series 1 hybrid inverter

thanks

if eco mode is enabled and timed charge is enabled for 02:00-05:30 all should be good Others have seen snags where settings have not saved / taken correctly. Couple of suggestions :- using the web portal for all

  • reset the inverter settings to default then
  • check the software is upto date on the inverter page and update if there is a newer version
  • enable eco mode and enable timed charge to your times.
  • check there are no tariff automations set (on the smart tariff card)
  • In principal all should now be good, one way to get a little more assurance is to go to the inverter panel select remote control icon (cog) then scroll down towards the bottom where the remote control history can be seen. This shows control settings / commands that have been sent to the inverter.

If there are still problems then contact giv support

I'm now having a problem I've not had before. Both of my AC3.0 coupled inverters are set to charge from 00.31 to 04.29 and yet one of them is charging fully now, at 20.02 - at a massive premium. I have no idea why and no way to stop it other than turning the inverter off. The settings on both the app and the web interface report the timed charge and yet my inverter is happily ignoring it. Then again, for some reason by battery reported it had discharged to below the minimum 4%, which hasn't happened before either, so I'm hoping it will stop charging once its SOC reaches 4%. Fingers crossed!

That is normal - for a battery to charge if SOC has dropped below 4%.

wilfleek @JJB Would be nice though if the other AC3 was providing the supply back to 4%.
