Newbie here, just had my AC coupled 8.2 battery installed and wondering on which cables do the 2 GivEnergy CT clamps go, is it 1 on grid wire and 1 on solar wire to CU? Grateful for any support from all you knowledgable people out there.
docs ain't that clear, but
the one from the inverter goes on the PV input mine is blue in colour
the one from the E115 goes on the Mains incomming supply
Thank you for that, have just tried that and now waiting for some decent sunshine to see if it works.
The passive clamp (Blue) is the Solar Live wire to the CU. Arrow towards the CU.
The EM 115 one black is on your Meter Tail or CU incoming Live, again arrow pointing towards the Load (CU)
Thanks TheDragon...having checked the clamps sadly there are no arrows so I guess its play until the figures look right!
OK found the arrows, they are inside of the clamps.
Oatmeal2 Don't know if you have looked there but the arrows are often on the inside face of the clamp and not visible unless you open it up and remove it from the wire. It is important to have the black EM115 clamp fitted the correct way around as others have outlined. The blue solar PV clamp is only measuring an amount (not direction) in this application and works fine either way around.
Had the Installer out yesterday as still not getting the right reading and my battery was running out of steam, they had put the blue clamp on the wrong lead, since the fix and an Inverter reboot, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Pumped in 7Kw's today from the sun...most impressed so far. Thanks for all your help out there.
