Hi all, I have noticed that for last two weeks every time I set my maximum charge during my off peak to 50% that it changes to 100% getting very frustrating as I have sent support many reports and no-one has responded at all.It never used to do this. Anyone else noticed this?
Battery charge settings being ignored by the app and portal
gareth0898 Lots of feedback regarding automation on agile tariffs etc, especially with Octopus. Not sure of the details as I don't have Octopus for import. Just make sure that you haven't passed control over to Octopus (Smart card check box?).

Givenergy's tech is good and their techies look to be working very hard keeping pace with the growth of their customer-base. However, it would be really helpful if they brought onboard someone with customer focus, or broadened the brief of their comms/customer care person/people. Every single one of their customers has invested £00s, or more usually £000s, if not £x000s in their tech and when the tech works well, it's great but when there's a glitch, we feel we are owed at least a few minutes of personal handholding. My experience is that you do usually get through to a human on the phone eventually, but emails don't get a response. I'm sure it gets looked at but you don't know that they know about the issue and are actively working on it.
My portal has been incorrect since my plant was installed in January. I think they are aware of the issue and it's on the list of things to fix. As long as the plant's actually performing well, I'm happy to sit back and see them solve more pressing issues such as the battery SoC. /Rant over. Apologies to @gareth0898 for hijacking your thread!

I'd do a reset of all settings (ideally from the portal) and put your times all back in again.
Suspect this has something to do with an old setting called WinterMode (that you can't see anymore) which basically tells the system to charge to 100% no matter what you tell it. Guess somethings glitched along the way and that's got stuck on for you.
I too had this anomally , in the app go to the smart tarrif settings and check that automations is in the off settings
Thanks John but smart automations are greyed out on Android thats if I'm on the correct page!
Just set this up today on our new installation.
I used the desktop app without issue.
So maybe try the desktop app instead of the Android App
I find the app very hit-and-miss for making changes. It's great for viewing and updates more frequently than the web portal. However, for any changes I always use the portal. The app has shown to be too flaky for making changes.
Hi thanks for the input it makes no difference if I change settings on the portal or the app. Both revert back overnight.Still no word from support it has only happened last couple of weeks so an update must have caused this error!

From our records, the Octopus Go Automation has been enabled on your inverter and running since 19th July. This has been changing your upper % charge limit from 50 to 100% at midnight. You can turn this setting off yourself on the app or web
We are experiencing a similar issue. Using the settings to increase the % charge during the night rate, we have the error code "inverter timed out, please try again". This happens on both the app and the website. Logged out and back in, still no change.
Zakalwe sorry stupid delay in replying. When I say Desktop App I meant Portal. Sorry for any confusion.
singularityagn Not sure if you got this sorted or not.
That sounds like a communication (WiFi or 3/4G) issue.
Essentially the instruction (data packets) being transmitted to the Dongle is taking too long.
Easiest way to see if your signal is good or bad next to your inverter is take your mobile phone out there and see how many WiFi bars you have or if 3/4G how strong your mobile network connection is.
