My battery is saving me so much money, but I would like to give back. I am thinking of setting up an export between 4pm and 7pm to help out. I realise that my effort will make little difference on its own, but if lots of us did it, it would help a bit. Any thoughts on this, and what setting do I need to select?
PaulM Just get yourself a SEG tariff (EDF, Eon, Octopus etc) and export either when you have excess or when the SEG tariff (if variable) is highest. There are also energy clubs (check out Octopus and https://energylocal.org.uk/) to see what's near you. Be a trailblazer and be the first in your area to sign up; others may/will follow.
It's very good of you to "give back" but unless you contract for your export (either with SEG or local club), you will be reducing the cost of the energy supplied, but only to the suppliers; everyday consumers will still be paying the same.

On the Web portal go to the inverter tab, then select settings. A second set of options now appears. First disable Eco by moving the slider and then click on submit, wait till a message appears at the bottom of the screen to confirm settings changed successfully. Next, click on timed export and then enable by moving the slider. Set the start and finish times to export and then click on submit and wait for the success message. That should now export at the times set.
Be aware that if you set this as a permanent setting then the system will import from the grid when there is insufficient solar generation so you have to reverse the above procedure at the end of the export period you have set.
I do this each day at present and have an alarm set on my phone to remind me to enable the export and then disable it at the correct times.
