had a second inverter and battery fitted a few days ago and it appears that when 2nd battery is charging with solar, data is being displayed as "consumption" on both GivEnergy and Myenergi apps..any ideas?
2nd battery charging

Having a second inverter/battery is not handled well by the GE software. I get exactly the same effect from the charging of one of the batteries. Many of the other numbers may also look junk, especially if you are used to using the portal/app with a single inverter/battery.
In general the app (in home mode) seems to give the most reliable/credible data.
Apparently GE is working on a software update for this configuration.
You may experience discharging of one battery into the other (I find a 'Restart Inverter usually stops this). You may also find one battery has a much higher SOC than the other. This is not usually an issue, but if one reaches 100% SOC before the other, you will be limited in terms of how much power you can push from solar into the batteries (i.e. only half of your new maximum).
(These comments are for the standard inverters, not the hybrid inverters)
Plantlife If your first inverter is a hybrid and your new one is AC3, then when you are charging your new battery from solar, it is consumption within the household. If your second inverter is also a hybrid, the battery charge won't be able to be detected on the myEnergi app, only the ac output from your inverter. If you've got your Zappi solar CT on the ac output of your original inverter, you may need to add a second CT for myEnergi to see the second inverter, unless your new inverter is on the same side of this CT.
Thanks all for your input. Both inverters are ac3.0, batteries are 8.2 and the new 9.5. I only noticed it when the smaller battery was at 100% and the solar was producing 3.0kwh all of which was classed as consumption, and no demand from the house. The only thing left was the 9.5 battery which carried on charging to 100%. The system appears to be working well, just a bit frustrating that I can’t see it ! Especially as one or the other inverter becomes lost due to a patchy WiFi signal.
We also get the inverters losing WiFi connection, which may or may not be related to both dongles broadcasting on the same WiFi channel, as the household WiFi. This results in a jump up or down in the indicated (average) SOC, depending on which system is still communicating.
