How do I stop my system exporting when my battery needs charging

Fo instance, my battery is charging at 99W when I am exporting 1.1 kwh. I want my battery charged as a priority from solar, not giving the excess to the grid

Yes , why does that make a difference? it states to minimise the use of the grid, and if the battery was 100% it wouldnt need the grid. Thanks for replying

What are your settings? Or do you just leave it on ECO?

Also how long are you seeing this 1.1kw export to the grid for? Over 30 seconds?

As I understand it, Eco mode will minimise grid usage.
It's not instantaneous though, so it can take a wee while for the system to respond. For example, if there are intermittent clouds then shading can change the generation faster than the battery can respond. The energy has got to go somewhere so it may go to the grid for a few seconds.
Also consider the rate that the battery can accept charge. It cannot always charge at the full 2.4kWh rate (for example when it gets near 100% charge the rate will drop.
Finally, the reported numbers aren't in realtime. The web portal updates every 5 minutes, the app every 10 seconds. So what you are seeing are snaphots in time with the intervening data interpolated. Don't obsess of points in time- look for trends.

Here's an example:
The panels are generating 2.5kW
The house is consuming 2.4 kW
The batteries are charging at .415kW
The grid is importing .383W

Now I know that my house isn't consuming 2.4kW. What's happening is that clouds have dropped the generation from 4.5kW to 1.5kW and then back up to 2.5kW. The solar iBoost hot water diverter has reacted more quickly and has grabbed the generation. Until the portal updates it looks like I am pouring PV generation into the hot water tank AND importing from the grid.
Meanwhile, on the app, the inverter has caught up. The iBoost has dropped consumption and there's now 2.4kW out of the now 4.5kW PV panel output going into the batteries. Only .49kW is going out to the grid.
