Hi All,
Just had my system installed today - 9.5 battery but Gen 1 inverter (no Gen 2 available apparently) - and the cable linking them does not fit the inverter.
The installer spoke to GivEnergy directly & was told he'd have to get another cable (limited supply), with obvious delay in commissioning. He then spoke to EOn (who he was contracted to), who apparently then spoke to GivEnergy, and was ultimately told to cut the end of the cable at the inverter side & wire it directly into the inverter.
I have no idea if this is OK - the system is running & completing battery calibration as I type - as the installer only informed me of this as he was leaving at 6pm......
The cable had orange sockets, if that makes any difference.
I was also expecting the EPS to be wired up today - whole house, manual switchover - but the installer had no record of that. He said I'd have to chase it up through EOn (I've been waiting over a week already, as I'd raised it with them previously when the surveyor failed to follow up on it), so getting a bit cheesed off now!
