My system is coming up to a year old. Gen 1 5kW inverter and 8.2kWh battery. Battery was completely drained yesterday (to 4%). I set it to charge to 100% overnight (GO tariff). Grid To Battery for today only shows 6.34kWh consumed to reach 100%? Has my battery lost 2kWh of capacity? (It was only calibrated a week ago when I initiated a firmware update)
@hoggy did some testing, do you have an 80% DoD 8.2 battery? As he had similar results after 18 months
TheDragon (GivEnergy) So far as I know it's supposed to be 100% DoD
Mine is an older 80% DOD 8.2 coming up for 2 years and it has dropped from 6.5kWh usable to 6.3kWh even after calibration runs.
I’ve accepted my fate that it’s degradation although a little disappointed the buffers don’t move around atleast a bit to compensate given how much they take up (although this is why they offer unlimited cycles I guess)
If however you have a 100% DOD (sticker on side of battery will tell you) then 6.3 suggests something is not right (maybe the SOC drift bug as a best guess)
