Is there a way to block data upload to the cloud but keep access to the local data (app or similar)?

ispookie666 yes there is in your router. But why? Imho that would be a stupid idea as you then have no remote diagnosis from ge if nothing else.

Warranty states it must be connected back to the mothership to be covered - so although you can block it, it's advisable not to.
What specifically is the concern?

Thank you for clarifying. I have my reasons and testing a theory.

ispookie666 bear in mind that in local on the app it still uses the cloud to change settings.
The settings are not done locally. You need GivTCP to do that.
Ultimately removing the dongle severs everything and it will carry on following its last instructions but you will be running blind as to what its doing.
