Hi All,
i've just had a new installation which includes a Gen1 3k inverter and 8.2k battery. All is working well except that the battery always discharges to 7% and then goes idle until it starts recharging. According to the literature these batteries are supposed to have a 100% Depth of Discharge. The installer said GE are aware and working on a fix, has anyone else seen this issue ?

Check the reserve setting (Go to My Inverter > Settings > Battery Options) and see if this is set at 7%. The minimum you can go to is 4% though I believe
You will get the 8.2kw the minimum is 4% reserved for other things, the battery is bigger than 8.2. Monitor your charge and discharge numbers to confirm.
What firmware version does your battery have? This sounds a lot like a bug that was seen in one of the test versions...

Just checked and my battery firmware version is 3007
Similar here, Battery went idle at 8% on Tuesday. Reserve is set at 4%. Firmware 3007.
On the positive side, I haven’t had the phantom discharge to zero for over 2 months now!
