Hi. Absolutely new to solar panels and batteries. Ours was installed last week and I noticed that the red status light is showing on the battery pack. Looking at the reports via the portal, one cell is coloured in orange (2.885v) and one in yellow (2.713v). Is this a problem and how can it be resolved - I've contacted the installer, but have not received a response yet.
The system is in mode 1 - I'm assuming that is the best one to use?

We had that when our batteries were installed a few weeks ago. Installer said that the red light would go out after the software had updated & batteries calibrated.
But it didn't, so contact GivEnergy support and they said to just turn the battery with the Red light off by pressing the button on the side, leave it about 10 seconds, then press it again to turn it on. Did that and it came back on with a Green status light.
Had mine installed last week and had the same red light. I asked the installer at the time and he said it might stay like that for weeks and then it'll go green. That being said, when the firmware was successfully updated it changed to green. We didn't notice any difference between red/green light whatsoever. I guess we are all hardwired to see a red light and think...thats bad.
When you press the button to turn the battery off be aware that this is a press and hold for a few seconds. If you just press and release nothing will happen. Caught me out the first time 😀 .
Big thank you all for the suggestion - turned it off (and held it for a couple of seconds until it beeped!) and back on. Status light is now green!
Assume it will update the firmware automatically as needed?
Woodstock Thanks! I tried to update firmware for about the 5th time last night and it ended again in failure (Update failed - 99%) and a red light on one of my two 8.2kwh batteries.
I pushed and held the off switch for a few seconds and there was a beep as it switched off. Back on again with a green light plus one cell flashing green (as on the other battery).
