Inverter Extended Warranty transfer

Hi

I have just had a Gen 1 5kWh hybrid inverter system installed with 9.5+5.2kWh batteries. I wanted a Gen 2 but we all know the availability is non-existent so had to compromise. I have taken an extended warranty on the inverter to 10 years.

I was just wondering if I sold my Gen 1 next year and upgraded it to a Gen 2 does the warranty extension/original warranty transfer to the new owner? My thinking was having a 10 year warranty would be a good incentive for the new owner but allow me to upgrade for the price difference plus a bit of labour?

I don't know for sure but I would doubt it, surely a warranty is tied to a specific inverter? That's how it works for every other item I have ever had.

wilfleek isn't that what he's saying - selling the inverter and warranty goes with it?

3.3. Warranty Transferability
This Warranty is transferrable to subsequent owners by providing proof of ownership
and on the condition the product remains at the original installation location. It is the
responsibility of the current system owner to ensure the product has continued and
constant internet connectivity at the premises of installation during the Warranty
Period. This is a mandatory requirement for Warranty Purposes.

Cdent Thanks, that is a pain. I am not finding the 2600w charge rate as much of an issue as I thought and probably going to go for Octopus Intelligent next year that will give me a realistic charge of 14.52 in the 6 hour window. I had also forgotten that the 5.2kWh battery has a DoD of 80% as well.

Appreciate you digging out the warranty pack info, must ask my installer for mine now the warranty has been applied to the inverter.
