The portal log shows:
2022-10-30 01:21:37 Server Set Date and Time Written Successfully Set Set Automated Maintenance - Daylight Savings

GivTCP is showing the system_time as one hour ahead - still BST.

I have 2 inverters. Is that why there's no sync button on the account setting screen?

I've given up expecting the system to handle daylight savings on its own. Manually setting it up twice a year isn't too much of a strain. I'm sure they'll get it right some day.

Yes but how do you manually set it? The sync option has disappeared. I too had the time update notification at about 01:30 but overnight top-up stopped at 03:30 instead of the set 04:30...

There's also a time sync option in My Inverter, remote control page (cog symbol). It's near the end, just before the raw logs. Time and Date. Send button.

TX200 I've tried this, it doesn't work. The inverter has remained in BST.

Thanks, but: Portal/Account settings is already set to GMT. No 'sync' option in My Inverter/Remote Control (there was last night), there is a 'time set' option but it doesn't accept any input.
Maybe it's fine and will behave correctly tonight. I did think it odd that the 'timeline' doesn't indicate any time shifts. Sometimes we worry too much!

SimonP I keep trying mine through the day. Set a charge time, see if it charges. It doesnt.
Set a charge time as if BST, and it works fine.

This is very disappointing.

The Sync Inverter time button in Account Settings has appeared for me now, and that fixed the issue.

TX200 I had to do this. Battery started charging from grid 1 hour earlier than it should. Hitting sync fixed it, but this keeps happenings and it really shouldn't! GE really need to fix the day light saving timing issue.

Just out of curiosity, where is the best place to see the current inverter time?

chrisdev Had no idea of the existence of this app. It's basic, but hey it works! And it gives most of the information that Givtcp does, but without having to have docker etc. Thanks for signposting it

Tim it’s literally BASIC. I had no idea you could still code something in this day and age with it that can work on mobile.

Simon_C Directly via the LAN/WiFi so you need a fixed IP on the inverter dongle ideally.

chrisdev That's a brilliant app! Many thanks Richard Russell! (Android version)

Simon_C it’s comparable in that Richards works and Terravolts doesn’t!
I really should pull that page as it uses the old API and I just haven’t got around to redoing it all yet again for the 3rd time…

hoggy Don't give yourself a hard time for falling behind with the housekeeping, but do archive the obsolete pages 😃
