Hi all, I've had issues with my inverters all week; with one or both showing a red error, offline or idle. Though switching everything off and the isolators, removing and replacing the dongles, umpteen restarts both now are showing as green & operating. They are charging the batteries via solar but there is nothing going out to the house load. Restarts don't solve the issue. Inverters are set to Eco mode, operating range 4% to 96%. Looking at the stats grid power for both is currently zero so it looks like the house is just being powered directly from the grid.
Any ideas on how to get the inverters to start fulfilling the house load? Thanks all.
Inverters won't respond to house load?
Check the discharge rate in the web portal? - my inverter, settings, battery options
Or if using the app, try the pause/start buttons (which can be displayed using the options in the app's settings)

What are the App readings for solar, load, battery and grid?
Turn off solar, pause battery and check that geid import matches your smart meter.
Then at least you know the grid CT clamp is in the right place

DT42 If the inverters aren't supporting house load in ECO mode and they are charging their respective batteries, then there's a problem with the inverter AC. You don't specify whether the inverters are AC-coupled with a separate PV system or if they're hybrids.
If they're hybrids, it's unlikely to be that they aren't seeing grid import as they will each have an EM115, unless the power supply to both EM115s has been lost. If that's OK and as they are both affected, check the connection between the house consumer unit and the inverters. Sometimes, they are connected individually directly in, so each will have its own MCB, but in ours, the inverters are connected to a "solar" CU and there is only one MCB in the house CU. Check that the inverters connection to the house consumer unit is all good.
If they're AC-connected, the points to check are the same, but there'll be one EM115 which should be seeing grid import (check what the LCD says) and the AC connection between the inverters and house consumer unit still needs checking.
If the "solar" MCB in the house consumer unit has tripped, get in touch with your installer and get them to check it out before you reinstate it. If the supply feeding EM115s has tripped, you could try reinstating that if you're willing, but otherwise it's a call to the installer also.
Tim Hi Tim. They are Hybrids. There's some strange behaviour going on. After all the frustration trying to get things going, one exported its charge (25%) then went into Idle, the other sprung into life and is currently meeting the house load and exporting! Both now showing Offline. I think it's a call to support as I've had enough of restarts and turning on and off etc.

GE advised to get the installers back, the 2 x Hybrids is not a configuration they support! So that's what I'm trying to do. Really not impressed by the set up I have, definitely wish I had a single inverter feeding a connected battery bank.

DT42 the 2 x Hybrids is not a configuration they support!
They say they don't but there are plenty of people with dual hybrids and as a configuration they are as reliable as a single hybrid since they know nothing of each other. I'm of the opinion that people within Givenergy talk about problems with dual inverters but don't differentiate between hybrids which operate well together and AC-coupled inverters which do not. There are issues with some dual hybrid inverter values not being handled correctly in the portal but that's a display issue and not an issue with the actual operation of the inverters.
Givenergy does support dual AC-coupled inverters but don't recommend that as a configuration as they have had difficulty getting them to work together well.
A single battery per inverter seems to cause fewer issues than multiple batteries, which they also support. Hope your installers have been able to sort things for you.
Update: MD of installers came to visit. Very apologetic and keen to help, unlike the support staff. Agreed all is not well. Lead engineer coming back to add a second EM115 (I should have 2) then see what happens. If it's still problematic then they will work with GE to resolve. 2 Hybrid Inverters are known to have issues with data but they say should still work. If not he will look to swap out inverters until GE release their meter that allows both to play nicely.
Tim Hi Tim, see post below. It's not sorted yet but at least they agree its not set up correctly (only one EM115) and they are not performing correctly. He was shocked that they are rebooting every 7 minutes! So a way ahead. Like you say, there are others out there with this config, so it should work.

9.75kW of solar; 4.3 on East 1 string, 5.5 on west - 2 strings
Only one EM115 fitted (the other daisy chained to the first) which seems to be causing some of the issues as they should be set up as two independent systems only coming together at the consumer unit.
Update. Installers finally came back today, different crew. Basically it was wired up incorrectly as we all suspected. They added another EM115, reconfigured things and re-commissioned it all and it now seems to be working as expected. (except for the known data issued with 2 hybrid inverters). So, hopefully problem solved!!
