I have recently had 10 panels 5kw Hybrid Inverter and a 9.2Kw battery installed.
When I charge my car ( Octopus Go ) between 00.30 - 04.30 I selected Eco+ on my Zappi myenergy app to charge my car but when it's 04.30 the charge does not stop and keeps charging using the battery that has just been charged using the stored energy. How do I stop using the stored energy in the 9.2kw battery?

Have you contacted myenergi? The charge schedule should stop at 0430 as you have told it too. I am not sure why having a battery connected would stop that.

Though thinking about it, I did notice if I hit start on the charging screen of the cupra app that will override the zappi and charge at full speed...... I now don't touch it and just use the zappi app, ideally scheduled charges only.

AndyGG65 , it is not clear as to where you have set the 0030 to 0430 time schedule. It needs to be set separately on both the Zappi and the GE inverter.

There are a few things that need to be checked and set:-

1/ Has the Zappi got a grid CT directly wired and configured? It needs this to end a charge session correctly when using ECO+ mode.
2/ To avoid any battery drain by the Zappi during the 0030 to 0430 period, you also need to set a timed charge on the GE hybrid inverter to a chosen target % state of charge (could be 80 or 100% in Winter with little solar gain).
Given the settings for the timed boost on the Zappi are in 15 minute intervals, you will need to set the GE timed charge to be a few minutes longer, say 0028 to 0432. This allows for up to a 2 minute discrepancy in the time clocks of the 2 systems.

I set the charge period in MyEnergy App to charge my ev.
I have set the same charge period timings to charge the GE battery in the GE App
I thought that the Kia Connect App might be overriding the others and checked that it was stopped
My zappi was set on Eco+ and scheduled for 4 hours from 00.30 but the charge rate is set at 100% sometimes I did not reach 100% charge on one charge. The ev charger was not touched during the installation and worked fine before
I have a CT clamped on the charger supply cable

I'm assuming you have the Born.

#6 THALL

Yorkie71 I do indeed. Loving it.

THALL Likewise. Although, while mechanically it's great, the software is a bug ridden mess that should never have reached production so I'm currently on with their head office about that. I guess if you are on the CUPRA Born FB group, you will have seen my ramblings...

Yorkie71 I am not on FB at all. But what I can say is the tweaked software for the Born is better than what came with my ID3. While it is not super responsive I find it ok. All the heating controls under climate, shortcuts at the bottom all customisable. My only real issue is the constant "new settings for your account" pop up that keeps changing my driving options! I use ACC and all the bells that come with it for 90% of my driving. Various pop ups turn it off which is a bit scary when you next drive the car and suddenly all the aids are off.

Other issue is VW charge settings, cant join Intelligent Octopus because they refuse to make the firmware tweaks.

100% this. It's dangerous. This has been happening regularly since I got the car and this popped up repeatedly over the weekend, each time, resetting some of the driver aids, one of the being the cruise control vehicle distance setting. It was reset from maximum to minimum, which came as a bit of a surprise! I have been to CEO level about these issues and the car is going into the dealer on Monday for them to link up with the HQ techies to hopefully see what's wrong.

@AndyGG65 Apologies for hijacking the thread, I couldn't see a PM option in this forum.

Yorkie71 The VW guy who made this software was fired and a new guy has taken over to revamp it all. But this will take a long while. I am on version 3.0 if that helps.

1 query though, does your Born constantly say one of your licences has expired? Emergency calls or something like that. I can not remember off the top of my head. I tend to ignore the red dot now.

Oh and there is no PM funtion on this forum, yet.

THALL The VW guy who made this software was fired

Good. It should never have made it to production but I suspect the he/she was the fall guy/girl taking the hit for an exec decision to get something out when the engineers knew it wasn't ready.

THALL does your Born constantly say one of your licences has expired?

No. It's all active so you have an issue there. Might be worth unregistering your profile, removing the app association in your CUPRA ID and starting again.

Might be the same rogue engineer that the VW top brass blamed for the emissions cheat software that they got (rightly) nailed for.
Who knew that engineers in VW ever had so much power and could launch whatever they liked without senior management or C-Suite executive knowledge or authority! 🤣

Yorkie71 My local dealer says the OS cover is no longer included in the free licence. Though on the software store there are no options to add something else. Doesn't matter, it is only for the SOS function.

#14 Yorkie71

THALL I'd challenge that because I'm sure it's included.

#15 THALL

Yorkie71 Apparently it will still work if I push the button in the car, though testing it is not recommended. the other feature I would like is for the car to remember my drive mode..... I use Range 90% of the time.

I have a Niro and an EV6, but a different charger. All I can say is that the Niro absolutely required that the scheduled charge settings had to be set in the car, not the charger. I set a scheduled departure time for all 7 days of the week, set the off peak times to the Go times and ticked the "off-peak tariffs only" box on the screen. The Niro wouldn't talk to the charger properly any other way (syncEV compact). It wouldn't come out of sleep mode at the required time. The EV6 is less fussy, but they are now both set in the car.
