Givenergy 5kw hybrid inverter gen1 charges and discharge query.

Hello everyone,
I have a question!
My Givenergy 5 KW hybrid inverter only charges and discharge at max of 2.42KW. My app shows max charge and discharge rate is 2.6 KW. Am I missing something?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Pdp That is normal for the Gen 1 hybrid. This is shown on the datasheet and is aligned with the current capability of the battery unit. I only found this out on boiling the (3kW) kettle the day after the system was commissioned and noted a grid import.

Yeah, it's annoying. I feel into this trap also when agreeing to downgrade from Gen2 to Gen1. Had to go out and buy a new kettle that only pulls 2.4kW during winter months running off the battery.

So annoying, specially when your installer do not tell you these things. They told me I should be able to use 5kw of power as it is 5kw hybrid inverter.
I wish gen1 inverter charge and discharge capacity could be increased via firmware upgrade.
