Battery going below 4%

My system was commisioned a week ago.
There is a message saying the battery will be calibrated, and I will be notified when completed.No message to that effect so far after a week when it said it would take a few hours.
Also it is set to not go below 4% charge but dropped to 1% . I charged it back up to 4% from the grid to prevent it to go to 0% but gradually it is now at 2% after a few days.
Are the 2 things linked? Should I charge fully to allow this calibration?
It is set to eco (by the installer) should I take it off that to allow it to do it's thing?

You should be able to leave it to look after itself. 4% is the default reserve but you can set it to anywhere between 0 and 100. At 0% your battery is still in a safe zone as it is over sized and the 0% is a false level. If it drops further still you should see the inverter kick in and cycle charge it to keep it safe.

Leave it on ECO.

I've noticed mine has gone down to 1% and think it charged a tiny bit off the grid to get it to 4% on couple of ,occassions and then stopped. I'm running purely in eco mode so I think that's what I would expect to happen. Got to the giiddy heights of 41% today which is the 1st time in double figures this month....sigh its that time of year, All seems to work well and I'm not unduly worried about it.

Next few days look a bit brighter so that should help out a bit!

keithhobbs You could be seeing the state of charge issue https://community.givenergy.cloud/d/713-firmware-3007-has-not-fixed-sudden-soc-drop-to-0-problem/1419 a new firmware is due out on 16th December intended to address this long running issue. I set my minimum SoC to 60% whilst this issue is being resolved to avoid the drops to 0% and subsequent recharges from the grid.

Kieth I recently had a similar problem where my battery was sitting at 3% and not force charging itself back to 4%.

GE dived in and updated my inverter firmware, which they say should fix it.

Well.............it happened again overnight. Dropped to 3% with no forced recovery. The updated inverter firmware did not fix it. I've notified GE and I'll see what they come up with.

Going to force charge it back to 4% myself now.

Maybe the new battery firmware scheduled for the 16th wil fix it!!!!
