Avoiding battery use in cheap rate periods?

Hi all,

I'm on Octopus Go, so I have 7.5p per kW between 00:30-04:30. During this period I naturally charge up my batteries as much as possible and run dishwashers, charge cars, washing machines etc.

One thing I'm wondering is that I imagine by default my system will prioritize use from the battery over the grid, however in this period, I'd really want it to just use from the grid so I can get to the morning with the maximum possible charge in the battery.

Does anyone know if it's possible to configure this in the GE app? (Ie don't use the battery during this period)

As far as I know - and I don't have off peak electric at the moment - when its in the scheduled charge period, it won't discharge.

Just set the 'Charge to' value to 100% and it will only take from the grid during the charge period.

alphabeta77 as @anglefire and @anthonypar have said, set a timed charge for your entire cheap rate period and set the charge to 100% and the grid will meet all demand in that time.

Ah perfect, thanks for the clarity!
