Panel defrost button not working

I've pressed the yellow button in the app to defrost my solar panels but it's definitely not working. What am I doing wrong please?

Did you provide a large enough offering to the weather gods?

sponev Do you have a panel defrost system installed? This is normally seperate to the panels themselves and involves installing heating under the panels. This is not uncommon in northern scandinavian installations but I would guess very rare in the UK. If there is enough sun in the UK to generate then the panels will defrost themselves quite quickly.

You may need to point the phone at each panel while pressing it. 😆

I've pressed it again but no joy. Heading up there now with a chisel

@sponev just pop up onto the roof and stare at the panels really hard while thinking of all the issues with givenergy. I am sure the heat that will radiate from you will thaw your panels 😉

Jokes aside, perhaps similar to Tesla a snowflake icon should display when the battery is very cold to indicate reduced performance (something that will presumably raise its hand more when new FW is done)

I think we have just stumbled across a new source of renewable energy. Harvesting all of our frustrational energy could power the world for years......

Maybe the panels which harvest this power could be combined with our computer screens, to optimize the efficiency of such a system.

We just need a good marketing name for it now. I'll kick us off with 'Exasperadiation'.

ToothyChris sadly, its all negative energy so doesn't work that way. 😁

The cost for this new energy is too high. Not to mention the negative affect on life expectance of the generators.......
