so i have my battery set to eco mode, And have a time charge overnight on my off peak period, every month i adjust the percentage it charges too leave space for it to fill up with solar.
It would be nice if i can set them settings on a per month bases so the system is as automated as possible.
There's automations available that use solar and weather forecasts.
One is written in python. Other one I think is a HomeAssistant add on.

mattheduck I'm inclined to agree, basic control such as this in the dashboard and the App. is sadly lacking. It really should be as simple as setting up central heating controls, or any Google Home routine for that matter.
I know there are automations available, and credit to those that advocate them, but they in themselves require yet another set of requirements... and I don't know that I have the inclination or time to pursue them.
Wasnât solar forecast based charging one of the features that Givenergy said they were going to deliver?? But portal updates etc seem to have all stopped⌠the last whatâs new article was back in September.
dcsh if you want it, I already have it working on a Raspberry Pi, along with several other different implementations. GE probably realised it's harder than it seems and they have bigger fish to fry.

dcsh but if you don't really want the feature that much, what does it matter?
stevelewis I didnât say I didnât want the feature, but there is a clear difference between a supplier saying they will deliver it and having to do it yourself. It doesnât build confidence when a company says they will do something and doesnât.
dcsh ironically, my code is open source, the brain work has been done and it would be simple enough for GE to host it on one of their servers as it only needs access to GE and Solcast data. @GeorgeRawding... how about it?
