Is my grid import and export the wrong way round?

Got my Solar PV, Inverter and Battery installed yesterday. I was very confused by the readings yesterday as the battery was charging to 100% at around 2400W , my home consumption 0W, solar below 100W and my grid export was a little higher than the battery, roughly 2600-2800W.

This morning, I did a small experiment. It was showing battery at 100%, home consumption at 0W, solar at 0W and exporting to the grid at 206W. I turned the kettle on and the exporting to the grid ramped up to 2.8KW.

I'm not an expert at this but I assume something has mixed up with the inverter switching import for export. Could it be that two cables are attached incorrectly?

I've contacted the installer already but thought I'd get views from the forum as well to see if I'm on the right track.

Nathaaniel CT clamp is likely on the wrong way.

Nathaaniel sounds like the CT clamp could be the wrong way round. If you locate it and unclip is, there should be an arrow which (iirc) should face the direction of import. If it's not, swap it round

Thanks! I don't think I'm electrically competent enough to do that but will get in touch with the electrician

Cdent I've now managed to change the direction of the CT clamp but that doesn't seem to have changed anything

Nathaaniel You say you changed it but, before you did, did you establish the arrow was pointing the wrong way - to the meter and not the fuse box?

Nathaaniel Which CT clamp did you turn around? The one on solar PV does not matter which way it faces. It is the one on the mains input that you need to change direction.

cluelesscris The arrow was previously pointing to the fuse box and is now pointing to the meter.

I have a Hybrid Inverter so my understanding is that it's now pointing the correct way?

Nathaaniel No. If this is the clamp between the meter and the fusebox the arrow should point in the direction of the import, from the meter to the fuse box. By meter in this instance we mean the main utility meter on the incommer from the street.

Thanks. I've changed it back but I guess the problem still persists.

The OB115 is giving negative wattage readings (around -200W). I turned on the electric oven and it went up to around -2700W. Should this be showing a negative reading or positive?
