Hm... came back home from work, noticed that system is offline, thought that maybe its because of cloud issues, checked inverter no lights at all.. checked fuse board and main fuse to solar system was tripped(just solar system one, all other fuses in the board for house was ok) just to confirm if only light blue LED flashing(on inverter not dongle), no other lights on, even dongle doesn't light, no red error light flashing 😐 wondering what happened as doesn't look like it was any power outage at home.. any suggestions? Tried to turn off everything and turn on back, still the same..

Tomuks Give your installer a call and ask them to take a look. Main consumer unit MCB tripping doesn't sound trivial. Could be the MCB is faulty, but best get someone who knows to give it the once over. Good luck. 👍️

Tomuks coincidentally, i have the same issue. One of my inverters is offline, no lights, with solar fuse tripped... waiting on installer for next steps

My inverter has done the same. Did you get sorted and if so what was the outcome. Thanks

This happened mine yesterday..we have had no rain in weeks and had a light shower yesterday and the inverter RCD tripped.. givenergy recommend getting installer to check panel connections for water ingress. Was able to switch it on about 20 minutes later and it has been fine since. Would have had plenty of rain since the system install last November. Only difference this time is the prolonged dry weather. Someone mentioned changing the RCD from a 30amp to 100 as they had similar issue last year in dry weather but I'm not sure if that's ok with the givenergy inverter (gen2)

Have you got a canopy over the install? That's recommended in the install guides I believe.

My inverter is completely inside

How are you doing with yours? Mines burnt out inside and waiting forGivenergy to come out. Apparently 4 weeks wait . 3 month old inverter . Not overly happy but it is what it is. I

2 days old gen2 5kw. Installer checked it out. Broken. Probably a month wait for an engineer

Someone asked if its sorted, yes it is, as it was completely dead. So they replaced it to other. I had a lot of trouble getting my installer to come and check first, as it is required by GE. But after it givenergy sorted it pretty fast like in 2-3 weeks. But i guess waiting tike is more like a lottery depending on your area. It was like 8 months old installation. i was thinking that i was extremely unlucky to get it dead in less than a year. But now it looks, there are people with even worse luck, lets hope its not quality of the hardware itself.

I think a lot of faults are install errors. Like poor termination of DC cables. Although gen2 introduced new connection methods and AIO will be different too (it's all in the same box).

Quite why my inverter failed, not sure. It was the relay I believe. But wether it was a manufacturing fault or something else ,hard to say.

Did you go through your installer after their Givenergy tech chat to get tech out to your home or leave for installer to contact and arrange . Ta

After my installer checked inverter he contacted GE, gave them video from inside inverter. Later I called GE myself to doublecheck what is the situation, and they told me they will arrange their engineer to come.

Seems to be standard hash from GE. If there are so many installation fault, maybe the training is useless

Just GE inverter not fit for purpose and lack of support. Still waiting…….

Barksy I had to chase giv them every step of the way. They never sent the invoice to the installer, then they took days to acknowledge the payment. Then I had to call to chase up the site visit team. Somebody is coming out next week and if its givs fault I'll be invoicing them my energy uses, my time and distress.
1 month to get it looked at.
