My Netgear Armour security software keeps reporting that both wifi dongles (2xAC3.0 inverters) have weak passwords and “vulnerabilities accepting unsecure protocols and services from cyber threats”
Is this a firmware issue and can this be updated?

There are new dongles coming, faster, 5G wifi, but the protocols are still ModBus or MQTT. Both insecure. However, in the future, connections to the inverter will also have certificates, preventing anything other than GivEnergy Apps connecting to it.

Set SSID passphrase as you wish
Set admin login as you wish
If Gen2 and using LAN, remove the antenna and replace with 50ohm SMA plug if you wish.
