hi folks,

got my gen 2 inverter fitted at the weekend. I noticed its temp gets up to 40 degrees after its charging batteries for 4 hours etc.. the operating temp hit 40 degrees. I'm wondering as its only about 12 degrees outside.. during summer it could hit 25 plus (dublin) am i likely to hit issues? The invertor is in an enclosed space with an external door.. ive added large vents already to the top and bottom of the door.. im thinking i could add an extractor fan that would kick in above a certain temp if needs be..

From the spec
Operational Temperature -20°C ~ +60°C
(derating at 50°C)

The AC battery charger is particularly inefficient and generates a lot of heat. When operating from solar the inverter is much more efficient.

Rubikcube that would suggest my hottest temps will be when charging batteries at night which might be ok as the temps won't get to high

Rubikcube although if your inverter is in the house, it's kinda free heating 😁

TX200 it's not exactly in the house.. it's in the old oil boiler room which is build under the stairs with an external door.. I have two vents in the door but I may add a 3rd..
