Hi all,

looking for some help,
i have a Gen1 hybrid invertor and Gen 2 9.8kwh battery

the system has been working fine for the last 8 months until yesterday, the battery was charged fully by solar and then refused to discharge, no settings had been changed.

If i set the discharge to schedule home demand it will discharge at full 2.6kwh if i set it to dynamic it wont discharge

The only other thing i have is Home Assistant which sets the charge upper limit, i have checked the battery power cutoff and battery power reseve but set to 4% i have changed these and saved to ensure it is set to 4%,

anybody had this before, what would be causing this?

Eco is the best mode to be in, plus a timed charge if need be e.g. cheap rates from the grid overnight.

Anything else gets complicated, unless you know what you're doing and using home assistant to do stuff like put the system back in eco after the timed discharge or timed export periods.

You might want to have a read of some of the other posts in this forum around timed discharge etc

In the meantime, perhaps a reset to defaults from the web portal, my inverter page, then turn eco back on.

Then if all is well, try connecting home assistant back again.

Thanks TX200, I have the invertor in ECO mode and have disabled home assistant still not working, i was only using time export to try and get the battery to discharge which works at full discharge but unable to get it to discharge at the require house load.
sure it is a setting somewhere i have missed but everything looks good

martinporter1 mine got confused the other day.

The web portal (my inverter page) said eco was on, but the logs showed it being turned off.

Had to toggle eco to off on the inverter page, save, then toggle on and save to sort it.

martinporter1 If you haven't already, you could restart the inverter and reset to defaults using the web portal. If that doesn't put it right, I'd suspect an issue with your EM115/CT. The fact that it's been "tickety boo" for 8 months feels like it might be a stab in the dark. Does your portal/app show import when you switch the kettle on? If so, the EM115 is working but the inverter isn't responding (assuming ECO mode is enabled and all timed modes disabled).

If the inverter is reporting the import in the portal but not responding in ECO mode, I'd suggest a call or web chat to Givenergy.
