I started the battery firmware update this morning. The battery is currently doing is discharge cycle, but my solar output has dropped to zero. It's this normal?
I thought that the update was for the battery only.
Firmware update no solar
I think that is correct. That's what GE told me would happen while the calibration took place, and it was like that on mine on Saturday

Yep. That's part of the process.
Thank you
heywoodstephen I’m new to solar, but I think I have the same issue. Firmware update about 10 hours ago (as I type). Inverter green light flashing, but now solid. Battery now discharged to zero, but no solar input. Normal? Do I simply have to wait?
10+ hours after the firmware update, I have a calibration finished message telling me the battery will now operate normally. Looks like, as a newbie, I have been worrying about nothing. Would have been nice to have know. All sorts of weird things (flashing lights, battery discharge to the grid, etc.) would happen. I will know better next time!
dsrose I think your system is different, Once my battery completed it's discharge cycle and started charging again, the inverter started supplying power again. My system is currently on it charge part of the calibration but looks like its functioning normally.
I agree it would have been nice to know what to expect.
I would think if your has still no solar input after 10+ hours something is not right. Sorry I can't help further.
Hi I new to all this. Mine was fitted Wednesday and my battery is still say 0% is this normal
Nicky did you see the update to your other post? If commissioning hasn't been started by your installer, get in touch with them.
There are options to reset to defaults, set eco mode and enable timed overnight charge too.
Search the forum for reset to defaults or eco mode for more information on that process.
