Good Morning All
A few issues or concerns have been reported recently around various topics of the GivEnergy System so id like to provide an update on these, see below:
1. Data Refresh Time-5min
The current APP is having a major uplift to its UI and usability. This is currently in development and will also include Local monitoring of the GivEnergy inverter and battery system when connected to the same network. This will allow you to see the system data real time (5s) rather than waiting 5 minutes for the next data packet. It will also have quick settings on the homepage to Pause/Resume the battery for those that need to charge an EV or want to divert solar to an EV/hot water cylinder.
2. Report PDF (Legacy Portal)
It has been reported on a number of occasions that the energy values and reports do not reflect on the actual totals for the day/ date range. We are building a new report into the new Portal/dashboard that will reflect accurately on the daily energy amounts going to the Home, Battery and Grid. If you haven't seen the energy flows as yet, please visit the new dashboard page and expand the energy card. This will give you a full break down of the energy flows and tell you exactly where the energy has come from and gone to.
3. Some Users Prefer the old GivEnergy Dashboard
Its been reported to us that some users prefer the old GivEnergy dashboard as it was easier to read and understand the data. We have now built this into the new GivEnergy dashboard and can be accessed by clicking the legacy dashboard link in the left-hand side menu bar.
4. Battery Balancing for multiple battery packs
Its been reported to us by a number of users that the battery % values are inconsistent between battery packs. Our Software engineers are on the case and are working on this as we speak. The way that we calculate the battery % is being improved and will be released in an upcoming software update. Keep an eye out for the update on the GivEnergy Dashboard Inverter card under the software tab for the latest release.
I hope this answers some questions raised and we hope to resolve these as soon as we can.
Regards
Dan
