On my G99 provided by my installer it says "Maximum Export Capacity: 5kW". I contacted GE to find out what my export limit is and they replied with 6KW. Does this mean I need to ask GE to reduce the limit to 5kW?
I have a gen 2 hybrid inverter and the 9.5kWh battery. I've never even seen my grid export go much over 3.5kW anyway as we only have 4.8kW of solar panels and the house will usually be using 1kW during the day.

As a responsible exporter/generator you ought to ask GE to set your limit down to say 4.95Kw. That way if you do have a sunny day and discharge the battery you cant exceed the g99.
ZmGahH6yQBe I assume you've got a 5kW inverter, so the maximum AC export it would be capable of is 5kW. Not sure why the export limit would be higher, but it would be limited to 5kW by the hardware. You don't need to do anything, unless you have multiple inverters installed.

6kw is default for any inverter. If its 5kw, it will never hit the limit.
Its only ever adjusted in 2 scenarios.
