Any ideas on why this should happen to my PV input, I have 8*370W JA Solar panels each with microinverters this doesn't happen everyday but possibly 2-3 times a week.... there is no shading on the panels at this time of day and there is no clouds in the sky. I've got a 3.6 Hybrid gen1. Inverter Firmware Version D0.450-A0.451 Battery Firmware Version 3009.

Any hints or tips appreciated.

Look deeper into the data on the portal and check the string voltages and currents. I suspect there's a cold (loose) connection somewhere and the strings may be taking the inverter out of spec for generation. You should also check the grid voltage as that can swing it as well.

Annaka if the strange behaviour coincides with a full or nearly full battery then this is the issue I had - fixed with an inverter firmware upgrade. I have Gen 2 5kW inverter - upgraded to D909-A909
I figured out it was the battery being close to full that was causing all my issues as turning off the battery resulted in PV output jumping to 3.5kWh (from 500W) in a few seconds! Additionally my battery refused to supply energy to my load demand when PV was low, so turning off the TIGO optimisers (forcing PV to zero) fixed that issue - obviously a pain to have to manual do this but it was only a few days from me figuring out what was going on to reading almost everything on the forum, to asking a few questions and getting a new FW. Now all is fabulous… thanks again to @TheDragon (GivEnergy)

Hi guys, thanks for feedback, but I've checked all the logs and nothing unusual or unexpected when this blip happens things increase to reflect more pv power and then back to the norm after a short while. which then increases in a linear way as you would expect. Battery is down to about 30% in the morning so its not a full battery issue. I don't think its a loose joint anywhere as it happens around the same time every few days. I'm leaning towards a firmware issue, as it seems the system is ramping up as the sun rises, the inverter is tracking this and possibly throttling back the solar as it tracks, then has a blip looses the tracking ie allowing more power to pass and then rectifies itself and throttles back after a short time. Possibly a firmware update would help resolve this ???
