It's some time since I trawled these posts, and I can't see anything recent about the timed discharge settings. Last time I tried, it didn't reset to Eco mode. Has this been sorted? I've been doing it manually for the last couple of months but this is getting difficult. Is it safe for me to set a timed discharge, or is this still being worked on?

describing some anomalies in this area. Seems that it can depend exactly on the order in which settings are applied as to whether it runs in eco mode outside the timed discharge period.

IIRC, fundamentally, there are two registers controlling whether eco is on or off, and whether there is a discharge period. If you can get those set appropriately, you get the behaviour you want. But rather than exposing them directly, the public interfaces dress them up as modes, and 4 modes correspond to the four possible settings of those two registers. and changing modes tends to change both registers together, rather than giving individual control over them. That was my understanding, anyway...

So still not working, Very annoying as the battery is virtually redundant without it using Octopus Flux!

BarleyRiser That's a bit strong. There must be tons of users out there quite happily using thier battery and not even registered for Flux, including me. Even if you do have flux the issue can be circumvented quite easily with automation or using octopus R&D.

True. And if it wasn't there I'd accept that. But it is there and so it should work. I don't think it's good enough to still not be working after 6 months I've been trying to use it.

It's definitely not been fixed yet.

We noticed the same when we integrated Timed Export for GivEnergy and were testing the Timed Export function in our service.

So now, we simply set the Inverter back to Eco-mode, and disable the Timed Export at the end of the export interval.
