It was 08:57 when this screenshot was taken, but the "current time" on the Solcast card shows it as 10:00. Perhaps isn't accounting for clocks going back recently?

Looking at Solcast itself, their graph shows the correct current time.
Current time is off by an hour

feidhlim
thats a bug thats been noted and is the process of being fixed
simon_swinburne Cheers Simon.

feidhlim This has been fixed now!
DeveloperDavid (GivEnergy) Thanks David
DeveloperDavid (GivEnergy) Hi David, I'm also seeing a similar issue with the Power Graph: https://imgur.com/a/ozrX9ro
chris_p Worth a check, but have a look at your timezone settings in your account.
Old Portal > Account Details > Action > Edit
Check the timezone and/or daylight savings settings. I do remember when my system was first installed, everything was off by an hour because the wrong timezone was set.
feidhlim I did check previously and it is set to GMT 0 (for England is correct). Day light saving should be yes as we observe daylight saving. So not sure what to change as it looks to be set correctly?
chris_p I'm the same timezone (Ireland). But have Daylight Savings set to "No". I don't think it's asking if your timezone observes DST, but rather if it's currently active or not. Right now, DST is not active so if you change that to "No" it should show the correct time. I don't think the system is "smart" to automatically change based on DST. I manually changed from "yes" to "no" a few weeks ago when the clocks went back.
feidhlim I hope that isn't the case that it has to be changed manually. I don't have a single piece of technology in my house that I need to update the DST or time manually when daylight saving changes. Even my £5 outdoor temperature sensor does this automatically.

chris_p We're aware of the daylight savings issue that's been plaguing us from older development work. We've been making updates to remove the need to apply a daylight savings to the inverter and in the future, the timezone and DST will be automatically applied via your address or post code. Apologies for any issues you've had with daylight savings
Mickey (GivEnergy) Amazing to hear that, really glad these issues are being worked through!

chris_p We understand and it's as you say, no piece of technology would want you to ever mess with daylight savings. Its ridiculous!
Has this issue been fixed yet?
Th time is out on my portal too, which means that my battery starts charging early (I'm on Octopus Go Faster). I've set the GMT to 0 and selected "No" in the DST area, but the system still shows the time as being an hour out. Does it take a while for the system to recognise the change is DST setting?
Looks like it corrected itself overnight.

Hi,
I've checked your system based on the email you've given us on this forum. Your inverter is currently set to UTC and imported from 9:30pm - 12:30am, but your octopus meter is showing is showing an import between 8.30pm to 11.30pm.
Could I ask which one of these figures is correct? Because I've had this issue with another customer who had his import from Octopus show the wrong value. I'd like to confirm which one has the wrong timeslot.
Mickey (GivEnergy)
Hi Mickey,
I'm on Go Faster with the cheap period between 20:30 and 01:30. However, I do not want the battery to charge for all of this period as I still want the battery powering the house as much as possible.
I have set a Timed Charge option in the Inverter section of the beta portal to charge from 22:30 to 01:30

Hi,
I'm slightly confused by what you mean. You want the battery powering the house between this period of 20:30 to 1:30? While the battery is charging?
No, the opposite. I want the battery to exclusively charge from 22:30 until 01:30.

Hi,
I completely missed your message saying that the values correct itself. I hope you're able to check those figures out and see that they align. As for the battery to charge from this time. I'm guessing your battery charges to full during this time. Are you asking that the battery holds the charge at this time until 1:30 even though it has fully charged way before that time?
Thanks again Mickey. I think that we've drifted from the original point of this thread. I'm a very new user but this is my thinking based on less than a week of playing with this system:
I want the battery to exit my Go cheap period as close to 100% as possible. The battery will then carry the mainly background load overnight and to date arrives at 8AM with about 72% charge. Any PV generation not used in powering the house will charge up the battery during the day. I then enter the cheap period with a fair bit of charge left in the battery. When I turn in for the night I want the battery to charge back up up on cheap Go electricity.
However, as I understand it, if I select the "Tariff Automation" in the Smart Tariff card it sets the battery to charge for the whole duration of the cheap period. To get around this I set a Timed Charge to run from 22:30 which gives me 3 hours to charge (at 2.6kwH charge rate that should get me from virtually a flat battery close to 100%).
Obviously as the weeks progress we should get increasing PV generation, so I can probably shorten the charge period as i will be getting charge from PV.
Does that make sense? There's a similar thread going on here: https://community.givenergy.cloud/d/197-limit-battery-overnight-charge/21

No worries. Automation is not the easiest to handle and so there will be development but that will be in the future. If you're well versed in APIs, you can always try the automation yourself https://kb.givenergy.cloud/category.php?id=8
Otherwise, glad to see you're getting good use of our product!
<Looks into link. Backs away slowly and gently closes the door> That looks like witchcraft to me! 🤣
Very happy with the product so far!
