My espresso machine has a PID controller rather than a regular thermostat to control the boiler temperature. This means it's switching the (1kW) boiler heater on/off around once per second as it warms up.
This generally confuses the inverter, as by the time it's noticed the load increase via the CT clamp and told the battery to supply more, the load has gone away so the battery power goes to the grid instead.
I suspect this is just 'one of those things', but interesting to see the live data in the app getting rather confused when the coffee machine is on!
