I have a Gen2 3.6 Hybrid inverter and have noticed today that I have an 'Update Firmware' button available but it doesn't tell me whether it's for a battery or inverter update, the KB firmware revision articles don't have any newer versions listed than I am on, hoping someone can enlighten me as to what will actually update if I run it?

Yea, I'd already checked that page. I know there is a 909 version for my inverter but last I'd heard it still required portal changes to do the required resets on update so could only be done manually at the moment. Maybe that's now resolved, who knows, I feel like more info is needed on that page as to what the version will be updated to and links to the fixes/features/known bugs of the new version.
Phil_H That update is 909 for the inverter from what I've seen in other posts. It's 910 that requires the portal changes. Paul made a post yesterday in the beta thread about latest versions ect if you want to check that out.
Been running 909 for a few weeks with no portal update, so definitely works okay 🙂

After updating the Inverter firmware yesterday all was well but last night something odd happened. I have the Inverter set to charge in the overnight low tariff hours if the battery gets below 25% which it only does if we charge the car overnight. Last night we did not do that but the inverter decided to charge the battery to 100% and maintain that level until the low tariff period ended.
I checked this morning and the settings for charging in the inverter were unchanged from what I had set weeks ago at charge at/below 25%. I have disabled the conditional overnight charge for now and see what happens.
My system is Hybrid 5.0 Gen2 inverter and X2 5.2 kWh batteries.
killythebid I've not followed this too closely - only for academic interest as I have an older Gen 1 inverter - but I recall it best to put the inverter back to default via the portal and then reprogram the timing because different registers are used which can upset things.
