Battery not charging fully overnight

Since I started having my Eddi set to heat the immersion during the same Octopus Flux cheap period of 2am to 5am each night my battery has only been charging to around 20%, even though I've set it to 100% in the app. According to GivEnergy support my inverter is somehow setting the charge amount back to 20% each day, and are saying my Home Assistant is likely causing this. The only thing I have set in HA is an automation to discharge/export the battery between 4pm and 7pm daily, down to 54%. This had been working fine, and the battery was charging up to around 60-70% every night during the cheap rate. The only thing I've changed is setting the Eddi as mentioned.

I will try disabling the Eddi overnight charge to see if the problem goes away but I'm wondering how the HA could be interfering with the charging percentage as GivEnergy are suggesting?

I did think of creating an automation to force the battery to charge to 100% (or at least as high as possible) during the night rate, but I couldn't find the necessary settings in HA. Can anyone suggest an automation that would do this please, or otherwise suggest how HA could be interfering with the overnight charge?

J1m if you have GivTCP there is a config setting called Smart Target that could be enabled and setting this to 20%, check if you have this and disable it if you do. That was causing issued with my Go tariff when I was on that and fully charging the battery even though I was trying to set it lower.

Thanks for the reply. I do have GivTCP. On my HA overview page there are numerous GivTCP readings. I can find a 'target SOC' which is showing at 100% but I can't find a 'Smart Target' setting. Is there anywhere else I should look please?

J1m it's in the configuration setting of GivTCP. Go to Settings > Add ons > GivTCP > Configuration and it should be under the section called Solar Forecast Automation with a toggle.

I didn't realise I had solar forecast automation enabled! This is what is set. Is it the 'summer SOC minimum target' that I need to change to 100% then? Maybe I should just disable it altogether!

I've disabled it completely, but if you want to keep it active I think this is the target for overnight charging so lower if you feel you can last all night on battery and the solar will charge it up the next day or 100% if you want to use overnight charging to fully fill

My battery wont charge past 20% whether on a schedule or on the quick settings. The remote settings says its capped at 100%. If you dont have access to givTCP, do you know where else you can check?

Cozzer has it recently had a firmware update , if so, contact GivEnergy support by email phone or web chat. Might need some registers resetting.

otherwise did you add a smart tariff to the homepage of the web portal, and if so, are automations on for that tariff?

TX200 I did add the tarrif to the home page. And afterwards finally got my DNO through octopus. I cant see any automations. il try disabling automations even though there arent any to select.

Cdent Thank You also my settings were enabled, and very confused why I only charged to 45% when the Give Energy dashboard was showing charge to 100%
