Scheduled & dynamic battery discharge

I would like the battery to dump at full power to the grid between 4pm and 7pm then go back to supplying the house outside of this time frame. Currently I can't see an option to do this any ideas??

Richbb not built into the system, but maybe if you want to get your hands dirty with some automation/scripting.

Richbb Gen1 and Gen2 behaviour differ. ( don't know about Gen3 ! )
Setting Timed DISCHARGE on gen 2 does what you want.
On Gen1 it does not !

I have gen2 - I tried disabling eco mode and using timed discharge and timed charge to maximise benefit of surge pricing on Sunday 16th. That required repeated changes to settings throughout the morning and early afternoon using the portal and monitoring behaviour in real time on ther App. Then during one surge period when I wanted to force charge to ensure enough battery charge to get through peak period and the evening, it wouldn't play ball. It would charge from 18% to 20% and then stop, and start discharging again to meet home demand, when I wanted to import to serve both home and battery; so I was losing out three times having eventually to pay for electricity during peak period, and losing out on surge payments, and on some of my anticipated export. It wouldn't respond to the start and stop controls on the app either. -

So not sure what went wrong...However, in desperation I eventually went onto the portal remote control page to force control from there. Having done that, I can't reset to how it was- so for example Export Power Priority was - unknown, now I can set to Battery First, Load First, or Grid First, but don't know what the default setting is/was, or what the others do. Is there anywhere I can go to find what all the setttings mean?

justpassing Is the different behaviours (gen1/2) on the current production inverter firmware, or on "in the wild" beta firmware? @Jerrytaff it could be that you inverter is production firmware but upgrade to late beta might get you what you want.

Stuff like this should be out of the box. I think something where the end user can see a week view, split into 10 minute blocks by day. You can set each 10 min block to be discharge/charge from grid/eco mode/pause etc and within each block you should be able to set the kW rate, so it you want to discharge at full or just 1kW you can. Also in the blocks you can set limits so discharge/charge until 50%. And with eco mode for those that want to avoid clipping should be able to set charge rate to lower too.

Tim From my experience its both. I am not aware that Givenergy are attempting to "fix" or at least change either Gen1 or Gen2 behaviour. For me, as I have written many times here, it makes sense on gen 2, and I never get why people expect the settings to "revert" when its set as a 24hr cyclical setting.... Maybe its just terminology.

Jerrytaff I don't understand them either sorry. Default is LOAD if that helps. I am assuming they are just other ways of setting the available behaviours.
