Update failed this morning which Paul has acknowledged and advises I need to work with someone to remove files from the internal dongle.

I suspect Paul is very busy at the moment so is there a procedure anywhere I can follow to get this done myself please? Sun is out and if there's a recal involved, I'm keen to get on with it. Fortunately the system is still working on 3.12 but keen to get it sorted. Cheers.

sponev OK, I've found a procedure in GE documents, however I also need the latest battery firmware. Is this available to download on the website please or is it a case of contacting support? The website is down at the moment 🙁

Seems like a lot of issues being reported with this unfortunately.

I contacted support via email yesterday as the battery update is failing and they sent me this link and the update file to be added to the USB stick:

I think they may need to supply the file so try emailing them. They took only a 2-3 hours to reply yesterday.

Zaz Thanks for that. Just been in touch. Will re-load tomorrow when (hopefully) the sun is back to cover the recal recharge.

Which part did you need to do? USB stick in battery or USB dongle?

Vestas Battery firmware. We have two and both need to be done apparently. Sequence does not matter. Not done it yet, looks like it will be Saturday when there's enough sun to cover the recalibration. Fortunately it didn't bork completely and we're still running on the previous firmware. We're already on the current inverter firmware as far as I can tell.

I don't really have any issues with 3012 in terms of how it works here so I think I'm going to stick with it for the foreseeable future. While I could get access to the battery USB stick it'd be a PITA to get the panel off/on given the positioning & I'm not really enamoured of the way the inverter got restarted 12 times an hour last time I tried the online method.

Do come back and let people know how it went - I for one would like to know any "gotchas" you come across.
