I'm trying to use the new(ish) pause options in the portal, but regardless of whether I pick to pause just charge or discharge or both, it has absolutely no effect on the battery use at all. I have left the start/end fields as the default (0:00) because I don't want a scheduled pause, just to control it with immediate effect.

I thought this was the recommended way to actually stop the battery given setting charge rates to 0 continues to charge at 291W! Clearly I'm doing something wrong I just can't figure out what.

edit: I should add I'm on firmware 909 on a Gen2 hybrid inverter

On Gen2, the timeslot is always relevant. So set it to 00:00:00 to 23:59:00 or similar, and then it will action. At the moment you are telling it to pause, with a timeslot of never :-)

The battery is full now so I'll test that tomorrow, thanks. Feels like if it needs to be 00:00-23:59 for it to work at all then they should be the defaults! Or at least a note should be put next to the settings to explain that you have to set the time for it to work.

luckypants No different issue

The Battery pause options on Gen2 PauseCharge PauseDischarge, Pause Both, under Inverter remote control (Not available yet on the App)
Need a time associated. So you may set a timed Eco mode if you so wish. If you just want to pause, then set the time to 0000-2359 and leave it. Then control with just the PauseBattery options one of 4 available
Disabled (Normal)
PauseCharge
PauseDischarge
PauseBoth

TheDragon (GivEnergy) To set a timed eco mode on a Gen2 inverter would you use the timed pause for charge and/or discharge during the period when you do not want eco mode to be active? That is the only way I can see to achieve this.

Would you also be able to explain the inverter Export Power Priority setting and when it is applied?
