i have had a weird behaviour from my inverter for past 2 days. The inverter was not charging from Solar and neither discharging the battery.

when i restarted the inverter, it all went well. as you can see, the before (07:14AM screenshot) and after reboot (07:17 Screenshot)

Any idea what's happening here? Shall i just create an automation to reboot inverter at 6AM?

What you are seeing is a 'millisecond' snaphot of the state of the inverter, it probably isn't even the same 'millisecond' for every reading. There always will be a very small 'system' overhead that can make the snaphot look odd but in practice do not make any difference.

SilverArt how did the solar change from 72watt to 550watt in 2 mins, after a restart? And it was a local read, in “home mode”

deepanshus, you might have a somewhat flakey network connection to your inverter, if Home mode is taking 53 s or more to update.

My system updates reliably every 10 s in Home mode, with a very occasional missed value so takes 20 s to update in that case.

Simon_C inverter is connected via LAN so there is no network issue, this is all because inverter got stuck and once i reboot the inverter it all went well.

Do you have a GEN2 hybrid by any chance???

If so then there are a growing number of GEN2 users observing that the MPPT channels don't operate correctly in lower light conditions, an inverter re-start seems to kick the MPPT inputs back in line until the following day when the same will happen.

I have an install which was perfectly fine with a GEN1, but when swapped out for a GEN2 this issue has been seen pretty much every day.

There is another post running on this:

Brilliant.. that’s exactly what’s happening, on both the two days it was full sunny. However I have a Gen 3 inverter but I guess it might have the issue as they share the firmware

There's also a small number of us who've had our inverters fail (relay fault) in the past week so this might be something to look into as well. https://community.givenergy.cloud/d/2847/15
