i was exporting today and the automation to turn the mode back to Eco did not kick in on time and the battery kept exporting. It has happened before and that's a different discussion. However, the export drained the battery right to 0%

i dont understand how the battery SOC went from 14 directly to 0, should it not have stopped at 4%?

(the battery setting is reserve 4%)

Probably more empty than the system thought it was. See soc bug thread.

TX200 my battery goes down to 15% daily and then gets charged back to 100%, i was under the impression that the SOC bug only happens when the battery does not go down to low value intermittently !

very weird... don't think we can do anything

The battery didn’t charge overnight and now the system is showing reduced capacity instead of 9.6kwh.

I got the solar installed not because I wanted one more thing to monitor at 2am and 6am. It’s only been a month and I am tearing up my hair to manage the system.

This is ridiculous hardware !

deepanshus fyi, I had to go to the garage and physically restart the system for it to resume normally! I am glad I didn’t get it installed it in the loft, this is no way an “install it, forget it” system and needs physical tinkering.

The system is reporting the wrong size battery. Speak to GE and they should be able to update the BMS. Hopefully this will hopefully resolve your issues.

anthonypar that’s the point, after a hard reboot it all goes back to normal. It’s so pointless to keep track everyday morning evening if battery is charging , if it’s discharging if system is normal !! It should be a seamless process, once it works it should continue working as expected

Looks the wrong information keeps being written back to battery registry. I had a similar problem when the battery serial number had not been entered during commission of a new BMS board...the BMS defaulted to a smaller battery until told otherwise with confirmation of battery serial number. The issue could also be due to a comms issue between battery and inverter. Ask GE to check out your system remotely.
