Hi, I have a 3.6kw inverter and 5.2kw battery. I have my discharge limit set to 20% but I see it is occasionally discharges to 15% for a short while. It has done this on the 23rd, 25th, 27th, 28th, 30th and 31st of August. When it does this it draws off the grid (despite my system set to Solar only charge) and recovers back to 20%. Yesterday I set it to 23% min discharge to see if that changed anything but nothing seen yet. Any ideas? P.S. there seems to be no apparent load that causes action.
While I am at it... I take it I am right to set discharge rate in the app and web page to80%? As this is the recommended limit for this battery. I am not adding 80% to an already set 80% built into the battery?
Pete.
Battery discharging below set limit.

Pete G you're adding 80% to an already 80% limited battery - the 5.2kWh only has 4.16kWh available to use so you're artificially lowering the capacity further by doing this to 3.12kWh (is that what you're seeing in the charge/discharge numbers?
As for the lower limit it can drop below sometimes and depending on how much solar is available can use the grid. Try removing your limits to allow 100% use of the battery available and see what happens there
Cdent I wondered if I was I will check to see if 3.12 is what I am getting. Although, I am not sure how to measure.
Pete.

Pete G on the portal check the charge today graphic at the top, on the app tap on the battery icon and it'll show you charge from grid or solar
Cdent Thanks for this. I have looked at the charge rates and the discharge dates. I have also avareaged them over a number of days. The batteries are charging to 100% and discharging to the 20% level I have set. There is not a balance between the charge and discharge amounts. Over one or two days I can understand but over several days I would expect something near assuming one charge and discharge in a day. Charge rate 4.03kw and Discharge 4.23kw based over 6 days avarage. So, this does not confirm I am doing 80% on top of 80%. But,,,,, to me, it does not prove I am not too! I think an email to support might be in order. Thanks, Pete.
