Does anyone know when the battery/inverters (AC3.0s) re-calibrate i.e. total discharge / total recharge? Is it only when firmware changes on one or t'other, or in different circumstances?
I'm finding it really frustrating to think that (like a lot of others, I'm sure) I spend a great deal of time trying to get the most out of our system, by minimising grid import, and unwanted export, and keeping electricity costs to an absolute minimum, only to find that the batteries can sometimes completely discharge all my hard work of charging from PV, then completely re-charge from peak-price grid current!
Whilst one can argue that it's not a great deal of money, it's more the principle that someone (something?) else is controlling my kit, and I really don't want that to occur - unless I've OKd it first.
I'd prefer to have the option to switch off all automatic updates, and also to be able to decide when a discharge/charge cycle takes place - which I could then tie-in with an EV charge (so as to use the ESS output), and re-charge from either PV, or at least cheap-tariff current.
The other issue is, that with all the problems which GE are firefighting, in the multi battery/multi controller installations, and strange behaviour I've regularly observed, one can't tell whether the discharge/charge is expected, or whether it's undesirable, and needs attention.
