Hello.
A few days ago I started suffering from an internet outage, turns out my router was causing issues so I've decided to scrap it. Meanwhile, I'm using another router. This means I need to change the WiFi dongle settings so that it connects to the new router, but this has been causing me problems.
I figure I must be doing something wrong. I do need to get this sorted as I've already lost nearly 7 days of portal data because the inverter is offline (as in not connected to the internet, not actually powered off).
I've seen a couple of other posts about resetting the WiFi dongle which is connected to my AC3.0 Inverter so I've tried those steps to connect to the new network and "restart the module", however, when I connect to the SSID of the dongle on my Windows PC, it's telling me there's no internet connection.
The only thing I haven't done is power off the system as described in another post.
I phoned GivEnergy Support earlier and the guy told me to plug the dongle into a laptop to try and troubleshoot. Before I unscrew the module, please can someone tell me if powering off the inverter and/or battery is necessary?
Thanks in advance!
