Essential Supply Output & Battery Reserve

I have my Essential Supply Output running a couple of low power consumption circuits (the LED lighting and the fridge freezer).

I have set the reserve on the battery to 20% with the aim of having the difference between the default 4% and the 20% being available in event of a grid power outage.

My question is will / can this be set to automatically be used during an outage or will the system still maintain the 20%?

As I won't have anyway to access the settings for the system given the wifi will likely be off with no power.

I think the EPS socket is not subject to the reserve limit, so it should continue to discharge beyond that in a power cut.

Struggling to get it to just obey the 20% reserve at the minute, reserve set and acknowledged but still draining all the way down to 4% overnight

StevenFitch that might be the soc bug especially if it suddenly goes past the 20% and drops to 0% or near it.

Or it might be the reserve doesn't work on some firmware versions (there was a bug about that, but not sure which version the fix got applied to).

As above, doesnt work on some FW.
Battery Cut Off % (from the remote control page) will force it to stop (rather than using the reserve %) however you'll then need to drop it if you need to use it on the EPS.

StevenFitch I’m looking at this too. What system do you have? I’m on hybrid Gen. 1

Russell_B its the 3.6 Inverter with a 9.5 Battery. Not sure if you need more detail than that?

Looks like this...

That looks like a Gen 1 hybrid, same as mine. What inverter firmware version are you on?

Russell_B I'm assuming its D0.450-A0.451 from the attached

Update on this. After contacting customer support I received some files via email to update the firmware. Entire process from first contact to resolution was under 3 hours so cannot complain at that.

Checked this morning and we now have 30% as a base line.
