is there any way to reduce the brightness of the LEDs on the 8.2kwh battery and Hybrid Inverter?
I have a feeling that as those units are in the same room my dog sleeps, its too bright and is waking her hours too early and she then spends the night trying to get out of that room....and waking us!
I can stick something to the case if needed but i'd rather the ability to dim the leds was available.
Can this be done?
I think its far more likely that the high-pitched periodic whine emitted by the inverter* is the likely cause rather than the LEDs. IME dogs don't really care about light levels when they sleep but "unexplained" noise is far more of a problem.
NB - the whine is too high pitched for anyone other than children/animals to hear at a distance. Adults need to be really close to hear it - within 50cm or so (try it yourself) - but it must be a bit of a nightmare for dogs.

Never seen any such settings. You could ask GivEnergy if there are settings that they can make, otherwise it’s gaffer tape

Short term fold some A4 paper 4 times and use low tack solution to have paper over lights - you will still be able to see status but it will be much dimmer
lightningad those LEDs are almost pointless, except when you are setting up the system when you need to know if it has come up. once installed, i don't see what purpose they serve ! Just like the LEDs on the router
already got the cardboard in place...just looks bloody ugly!...and the dog did seem to sleep better last night. No night long scratching to get out, so fingers crossed we've got that problem sorted.

Years ago when first got a Sky Q box the front "Q" led was like a search light at night and everybody complained. Years later they dimmed it (fixed), but a chap found the solution and 1000's bought it. Including us. The original sticker is still there. It cuts it down by about 50% and you can layer them. Highly recommended for all night bright LEDs.
edit: they don't block the led light as you still need to see the led is working and whatever it's functionality is. it reduces the brightness to the level you want. and it looks smart and neat.
deepanshus Seeing red dot when it should be green on my system is helpful to indicate there is an issue.
Same with a router, they indicate activity/link speed so you can see if they are performing as they should.
Or........
White insulation tape, one layer will strongly dim most LED, and two blocks most.
Some blue LED are often crazy bright, so I’ve place a tiny piece over the blue then a single strip over the lot including the small piece to look neat.
kram white tape if cut neat looks OK and is near invisible.
The LED on and off option has been asked of the RnD lab if possible or not.

If not possible on current hardware it would be nice to add it to future inverters/gateways or fit less bright LED to the side if it was expensive to add the feature.
Plenty of other pieces of equipment don’t do it either, but crazy bright LED (particular blue) are mega annoying on anything.

The issue will be developer time vs a bit of tape argument.

I got it added to the EV charger while we were still debugging the code.
An option to turn off all the LEDS would be great.
My inverter and battery is outside and accessible from the street because of very limited space in a Bungalow / no private garden plus the installers saying loft space is unsuitable so I want to make the setup as inconspicuous as possible.
I will try tape or those stickers for now.
